Underwater Living Room – detail
As with all Venetian plaster projects, a layer of wax was rubbed into the wall and polished with a cloth. Doing this creates a subtle sheen that catches light beautifully and feels smooth and cool to the touch.

Once upon a time…
"...there was a crayon. a blue one. it came in one of those 86-color crayola boxes that my parents gave me for christmas when i was little. my little brother didn't make a good canvas, so i found a blank sheet of paper. with that blue crayon i started drawing waves. i took other blue crayons of different shades and made more waves and colored them. i took out the browns and tans and greens and started coloring in a sky, some clouds, a beach, and a palm tree. it was the first picture i ever really drew, and i've been coloring ever since."
